Course description

The Craniosacral technique is a gentle and non-invasive manual technique, one of the most powerful psychosomatic rebalancing tools for global health as it is able to harmonize the vital global energy of the individual.

The Craniosacral technique is a refined art of intervention that acts by improving and promoting the resolution of a whole series of disorders both on a physiological and psychosomatic level.

Notes about Craniosacral Therapy

The Craniosacral treatment is a form of manual therapy, conceived in the 1930s by an American osteopath, Dr. Sutherland, a direct student of the father of modern osteopathy, Dr. Andrew T. Still.

Dr. Sutherland deduced that the bones of the skull and the sacrum were endowed with their own physiological movement, hence with their own rhythm independent of the respiratory and cardio-vascular one.

This movement was called Primary Respiratory Movement (MRP). The study and restoration of the same was called CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY.

The cranio-sacral system therefore takes its name from the bones that, together with the vertebrae, surround the nervous system, and therefore the cranial and sacral bones.

The brain and spinal cord are covered with protective membranes, the meningeal system, which form around them a sort of protective shell, sprayed with a particular liquid called the cerebrospinal fluid.

This liquid is produced and reabsorbed inside the skull creating a rhythm (the Craniosacral rhythm) that spreads throughout the body with a very light movement, both in correspondence of the various bones of the skull and along the whole vertebral column, the sacrum and peripheral parts of the body.

The craniosacral therapy will provide particular help for a whole series of ailments such as bronchial asthma, hyperactivity of the child, headaches and headaches, musculoskeletal pains, psychosomatic disorders and visceral functional problems.

From an operational point of view, the therapist will perform light manipulations on the parts of the craniosacral system that normally remain contracted in the event of stress, stimulating the circulation of the Liquor.

The pressures should not exceed 5 grams or the sustainable pressure of a finger on the eyeball.

The therapy, despite its delicacy, is able to act deeply on the nervous system, influencing both the hormonal and the immune systems, thus restoring harmony to psychological and emotional states, thus stimulating a state of well-being which, based on the holistic concept, it promotes harmony between body, mind and spirit with consequent healing (or improvement) of different pathologies as well as their prevention.

Thanks to its gentle and non-invasive nature, cranio-sacral therapy can also be practiced on newborns, elderly people and pregnant women.

This course will introduce you to the discovery of the anatomy and physiology of the Cranio-Sacral System, learning through direct experience and individual discovery, increasing your perception and knowledge of the subtle biological movements of the body, everyone will be able to evaluate, appreciate and use the Craniosacral System.

At the end of the course, valid national and international awards will be issued.
