The term "Manual Therapy" indicates a method aimed at restoring an individual's state of health. Applied Kinesiology boasts its excellence.
It is a set of techniques, wisely combined, ranging from the structural vision of the Man to the Psycho-Somatic, to the Eastern Bioenergetics, thus placing it among holistic therapies.
The purpose of Applied Kinesiology, from which the Touch For Health originates (method in use in our Academy), like that of Osteopathy and other disciplines defined holistic, is precisely that of bringing the individual back into balance with his three factors main: the Chemical - Nutritional, the Structural or Muscle - Skeletal, the Emotional or Psychic, constituting the "Health Triangle".
In order for there to be well-being, the three components must be in balance with each other, the more timely the operator will rebalance, the less the system will suffer from the loss of the same.
Of great importance in this technique is also the "Theory of Opposite Muscles" for which the weakness of the muscles on one side of the body often causes pain or spasm in those located on the opposite side.
Erroneously, before knowing this technique there was a tendency to act only directly on the muscle causing pain and this certainly led to a relief of the painful phenomenon examined but, in most cases, however, the relief was only temporary.
In light of this new current of thought, today we are aware that we must first strengthen the weak muscles and then relax those contracts.
This is why in the Touch For Health we evaluate the strength or weakness of the various muscles examined, then using toning techniques or muscle sedation, depending on the occurrence.
Another important concept to point out is that of the "Muscle-Organo-Meridian Connection", a valid diagnostic and therapeutic method of great importance both in the Chiropractic and in the Osteopathic: there are in fact strong reflexological links between certain muscles examined and certain organs interiors, and between muscles and systems.
Thanks to the advanced knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine, we can add to these links those with the flow of energy in certain channels called Meridians.
The diagnosis is based on a series of Muscle Tests from which we will have answers (strong muscle or weak muscle) based on the general state of the person. At the end of the fundamental tests we will have a map of the physical, psycho-emotional and bioenergetic situation of the examined subject.
Once the series of muscles - organs - "weak" meridians has been identified, that is, in lack of Energy, we move on to rebalance them, using one or more techniques of Applied Kinesiology such as the stimulation of NeuroLinfatici, NeuroVascular, Meridian massage points etc.
